Significantly, the statue of Zeus illustrates several of the fundamental aspects of the Greek culture and religion, apart from being an indispensable epitome of Greek works of art. As the appearance of the statue has been imposing, impressive, and awe-inspiring, the spectator is attracted by the beauty and splendor of this art piece, and it also reveals the whole grandeur of the great culture and civilization of Greece. According to Greek mythology, Zeus is the king of the gods, the ruler of Mount Olympus and the god of the sky and thunder, and this statue very well illustrates the magnificence and power of the king of the gods.

In the statue, Zeus is represented as a highly powerful and brawny man stretching his hands like the wings of an eagle, a symbol of this Greek god. "Zeus, king of the Greek gods, master of lightning, smiter of those who offend him, the god of the sky who rules on Mt Olympus father of men and of gods, he sees all, plans all. We cannot understand his mind, but nothing comes to fulfillment without Zeus From beginning to end Zeus has been unseen, operating the casual system of the universe in mysterious ways, and underlying every event.

" (Dowden, 3) This is the description of Zeus, king of the Greek gods, master of lightning and this statue provides a convincing illustration of the description of Zeus. Therefore, it is essential to maintain that the statue of Zeus not only represents artistic beauty and splendor but also illustrates several of the fundamental aspects of Greek culture and religion. A reflective analysis of the statue of Zeus discussed in this assignment confirms that a work of art from the ancient ages has an important function in revealing the fundamental elements, beliefs, rituals, etc of the prehistoric periods, the ancient civilizations, the Aegean cultures, and the classical world of ancient nations such as Greece and Rome.

The face of the statue of Zeus greatly resembles the other statues and cults of Zeus from the ancient art, including the Statue of Zeus at Olympia. The well-built body in nudity reflects the image of the king of the Greek gods in his complete strength and splendor. This work of art tells the modern viewers much about the Greek culture, its beliefs, its gods, its principles, and its art. The gods were representations of human beings with every element of a human body, great in power and splendor, wise in looks, serious and focused in attitudes, and model to every human being.

For example, the statue of Zeus illustrates that the Greek culture emphasized the importance of physical strength and philosophical outlook. In conclusion, in a focused reflection of the statue of Zeus, it becomes evident that the statue represents artistic beauty and splendor of the ancient culture as well as illustrates various fundamental aspects of the Greek culture and religion.
