Also this led to an increased revenue per each business sector which led to increased overall revenue. Welch came up with a six sigma idea with a goal of acquiring six sigma satisfying levels by 2000. In order to achieve this, intense monitoring system was introduced and this saw a culture change in the General Electrics. This program was accepted and supported by a good number with a general return of approximately $740 million over the required investment (Abetti, 2001, p.656). This initiative has highly added the value by the $740 million over the investment. From Welch’s approach to introducing change, it is clear that, change is a continuous process whereby every time there has to be a new idea of which it has to be looked on.He never took people for granted as he presumed that people were the best assets of any company to succeed. Consequently, they had to be appreciated and also be rewarded to motivate them at the same time encourage them to work hard.
