Computer Sciences and Information Technology Scheduled Installments Comparison Introduction While doing a comparison between two Scheduled Installment system solutions, it is important to consider the unique features in in each of them. Common features between the Microsoft Dynamic GP and the scheduled Installments can make one lose focus on the objectives of selecting the desired system to enhance the business. The aim is to improve the efficiency and save on the cost of procuring the solutions. This especially applies in the comparison between Scheduled Installment business solution and Microsoft Dynamics GP. Microsoft Dynamic GP has very similar module lists and features to those of Scheduled Installment solution. Because of that, it is essential to look beyond the visible features and focus on the functionality of the two solutions to determine the best choice of a solution for improving the business. In the functional evaluation of micro to medium market Scheduled Installment solutions, the Accounting Library placed Scheduled Installment in low position in majority of the functional aspects but Microsoft Dynamics GP occupied almost the top position. The variation in functional ability gives a direct outcome on the productivity of the users. A systematic analysis done in 2007 on the contribution of the Scheduled Installment solutions on the productivity of users revealed that users of Microsoft Dynamics GP had an average score 18% above users of Scheduled Installment solutions. Microsoft Dynamics has got three core strengths that enables maintain the top functional efficiency above Scheduled Installment. 2. Functionality of Microsoft Dynamics Vs. Scheduled Installment 2.1. Works With Office Products Dynamics GP operates together with Microsoft Office applications just in the same way as SQL products do. It also works in the same way as the Microsoft Office products. It is therefore very easy for Microsoft Dynamic GP users to integrate them with Office applications such Access, excel, Power Point, Outlook and Word. In addition, users who already are conversant with Microsoft Office applications need little or no training at all to use Microsoft Dynamics GP because they have similar interfaces. On the other hand, Scheduled Installment is still in the process of working with Microsoft to construct their integration with Office applications. 2.2. Role-Oriented Interface As Scheduled Installment gives an ordinary system user interface with real time accessibility to all of properties, Microsoft Dynamics GP gives each user a customized and personal interface, which is task oriented and with pre-defined, customized roles and information look. The role-oriented home pages provide each user with the necessary information required at all times. They also regulate the mode of movement of information through the institution. This provides protection of the data from unauthorized access and enhances the efficiency in each process. 2.3. Improvement in Data Analysis Scheduled Installment is usually is able to manage the data and payment history of creditors and debtors and generate report and analytical functions. In the contrary, Microsoft Dynamics GP allows a user to perform data analysis from many dimensions using the cubes in the services of Microsoft SQL Server. Further to that, Smart List Builder, MS Excel Report Building tool, direct Integration and Business Portal and SharePoint, the potentials for analysis of data analysis in Microsoft Dynamics GP’s are boundless. Because of the benefits drawn from the improved functionalities of Microsoft Dynamics GP, there is a reduction in the overall cost of acquisition and inevitable Return on Investment for the set of properties of Scheduled Installment. Through a focus on the functionalities and not the features, Microsoft Dynamics GP is clearly seen to save the time and cost of operation of the organization while doing the selection of a new Scheduled Installment system solution. 3. Comparison of Features In this section, this study presents the comparison of parallel opinions in the discussion of the features of Microsoft Dynamic GP and Scheduled Installment. Both Scheduled Installment and Microsoft Dynamic GP target medium-size business organizations in many regions in the world. 3.1. Microsoft Dynamics GP Considering that Microsoft products are the leading in the development of Operating Systems, Microsoft Office applications and communication platforms including Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server are able to use the Scheduled Installment infrastructure and technology, including the interlinking of Scheduled Installment solutions. The solutions include SQL diverse queries, the workflow of SharePoint and online web portals. Along with that, there is a long term exposure to the market for Microsoft Dynamic GP just as it is for Office applications. For example, Microsoft Outlook provides the option for counting the number of Outlook users and the various experiences. Microsoft Dynamics solutions do not therefore require any training for its user in consideration of the interface perception viewpoint. Microsoft Dynamics GP has a stronger integration with Microsoft Outlook V 9.0. These lead to some comments on Microsoft products such as MS Accounting System for Micro Businesses. This product is interlinked with MS Outlook, in which a user can produce invoices as well as promoting the contacts of MS Outlook connections to the clients of Microsoft Dynamics and scheduled installment Business 1 customers. 3.2. Scheduled Installment Strong Point This application was bought from a system Development organization in Israel by Scheduled Installment. Scheduled Installment was intended to drive the system application in the small and medium size clients. Again, Scheduled Installment required product to be easy to adapt to the many languages and the complex regulation such as the global laws on taxation. Scheduled Installment has scheduled debtor payment as well as Creditor Installment module. Scheduled Installment uses modern designs and architecture, which is a strong factor during the selection of Scheduled Installment platform. Scheduled Installment integrates well with Microsoft Office applications, and can therefore use the email messaging services through the Microsoft Outlook client (Simple mail transfer Protocol) and integrated with the Office with the COM objects. Figure 1: Debtor Installment Schedule Figure 2: Creditor Installment Module 3.3. Microsoft Dynamics GP Argument As the Microsoft Dynamics works to allow Microsoft Scheduled Installment applications to operate with the MS Office solutions and technologies, Scheduled Installment is not anywhere close to the integration. Scheduled Installment integration with Office Applications is in low level progress. This enables Microsoft to make a strong opinion against Scheduled Installment. Scheduled Installment operates by the deployment of experts in the industry for implementing the Scheduled Installment from the medium size business organization, in which the priority is given to technology solution consulting and expertise. With Scheduled Installment, this leads to a long term implementation cycle together with the complexity in the integration of Scheduled Installment with technology pioneering and the legacy solutions. 3.4. Scheduled Installment Arguments Microsoft Dynamic GP attempts to trap its users into its technical solutions as well as its proprietary technologies. It aims to give users an excellent platform of Scheduled Installment that has a good tool for integration to Microsoft Office as well as enabling a certain amount of integration with Microsoft Windows Platform. Scheduled Installment Scheduled Installments can therefore be developed from Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, VB.Net or C#.Net. Scheduled Installment thus communicates with the external environment through non-Microsoft applications including IBM Lotus Notes. 3.5. Additional  MS Dynamic Considerations Certain analytics exist in the contemporary strategic research market of the Scheduled Installment, that support Microsoft Dynamic GP in the argument that the Scheduled Installment needs advanced technology including the development of its Office platform. Others argue that Scheduled Installment requires a stronger partnership with Microsoft Corporation and integration with Microsoft Office applications to remain relevant and current in the Scheduled Installment market. 3.6. Additional Scheduled Installment Considerations No doubt, the Scheduled Installment has more stable capabilities such as the ability to switch languages at the press of the Control Key, from US English to German, French, Portuguese, and Brazilian.  It is unbelievable that Microsoft dynamic was designed earlier than Scheduled Installment but cannot display or express such dynamic functionality. 4. Reasons for Selecting Microsoft Dynamic GP Over Scheduled Installment Business 4.1. Employee productivity From the analysis conducted in 2007 by Keystone Strategy, the users of Microsoft Dynamic among other Scheduled Installment system applications were more productive than the creditor’s module among other applications. 4.2. Profitability Another research carried out by Nucleus Research, an international Information Technology provider, revealed that even though Scheduled Installment claimed that its clients were 32 percent more profitable than clients of other institutions were, Scheduled Installment clients were in actually 20 percent less productive than those of other organizations were. Among almost 100 companies studied, the factual result of the analysis of return on investment shows that the best performing organizations do not operate with Scheduled Installments. Scheduled installment gives way for debtors to default and evade the payment of installments. 4.3. Scalability Microsoft Dynamics GP gives more cost effective scalability for the growing business organizations, with the set performance threshold of up to 2500 users. It has a rich functionality traversing across the financials, the chain of supply and management as well as customer experience management. One can therefore confidently trust the capability of Microsoft Dynamics. It has the potential to satisfy the needs of micro and medium businesses. 4.4. Low Cost of Acquisition and Ownership Independent examination has established that, overall; Microsoft Dynamics provides greater return on investment and reduced overall operational costs than its close competitive. Microsoft Dynamics has a license designed for cost-effectiveness on the basis of having concurrent users against having named users. It has no imposed minimum or maximum number of users. In that regard, it can evolve with users through the entire life of their business. 4.5. Industry Based Partnership Microsoft Dynamics offers specific solutions meant for the needs of certain industries. It can give clients having the benefits of stronger portfolios of realistic and reliable solutions. The solutions designed by ISVs have solved Microsoft’s greatest challenges and set the organizational standards of certification. 4.6. Scheduled Installment Level Reporting Microsoft Dynamic GP uses the reporting services of Microsoft SQL Server, to provide a Scheduled Installment-level reporting. It also provides a flexible support for the decision-making processes as well as timely support and appropriate business perception at a reduced cost with meaningfully high system flexibility and usability. 5. Conclusion With all the functionalities and qualitative features of the two applications, it is evident that Microsoft Dynamic GP stands a better chance than the Scheduled Installment solutions to be selected by organizations. Companies rapidly grow in their systems of accounting, and choose to implement Microsoft Dynamics as opposed to Scheduled Installment solutions.
