Extract of sample "The Elements of an Effective Follow-Up Message"

Follow-up messages are usually sent a day or two after the interview process has taken place. The applicant must make sure that the follow-up message is sent at the right address and must be directed to the person who took the interview (Greene 1997). The elements of an effective follow-up message include an aspect of interest for the prospective employer, ask of him to take notice of what he is going to say, introduce his abilities and skills once again in the light of the said job and then ask of the employer to understand his point behind applying for this job.

The effective follow-up message is therefore filled with a sense of gratitude for the employer and the applicant must show the same in an abundant capacity. He must not go over the board and try to remain on his feet all the time. He must end this follow-up message in a humble way and should ask of the employer to seriously consider his case for the job at hand.
