Extract of sample "Importance of Goal-Setting"

My weight was 98kilograms and I needed to do something to avoid becoming a victim of obesity, a monster that has become a menace and constant threat to human life in recent times. Therefore, I set myself a goal of shedding 10 kilograms every week. Unfortunately, I could not achieve this target, which got me so devastated, and the motivation to reduce my weight was fast waning.

I realized that I was not regulating my calorie intake because I was still stuck with too much junk food. I also tried to lose weight by skipping meals, which did no good to my health. I had to review my goal and set practical ways of shedding excess weight. I created a schedule, which included adequate gym time with the guidance of a gym instructor, and also set a diet timetable with the help of a nutritionist. The result was so amazing. Every week I lost at least 1 kg, which was a positive result toward achieving my goal. I realized that success demands specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound objectives. I also realized that too high and unachievable objectives demoralize people while too easy goals undermine one's potential.
