Company BackgroundCoca-Cola is one of the beverage companies in the world. It licenses over 500 nonalcoholic beverage brands (Coca-Cola, 2011). The Coca-Cola Company was founded by John Pemberton in 1886 at a local Pharmacy in Georgia (The Coca-Cola Company, 2014). The company was purchased by a group of investors including Earnest Woodruff for 25 million dollars in 1919.

The Coca-Cola Company has served for more than 127 years, and it remains the largest beverage company in the United States. The company is engaged in not only production and distribution but also marketing of nonalcoholic drinks in addition to syrups.With over 3500 products, the Coca-Cola Company serves more than 200 countries. Some of the brands produced by the company include Coca-Cola, Sprite, Diet Cove in addition to Fanta, Dasani, and Power Ride. The Coca-Cola Company has partnered with about 250 bottling companies globally.

The company competes with PepsiCo Inc, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Inc. as well as Nestle in the beverage industry.Mission: What does Coca-Cola do?The roadmap of the Coca-Cola Company starts with its mission, which is long-lasting. The mission declares its role as a company plus serves as the reference point against which they weigh their actions and decisions.
